| Assets Community Services Department provides support services to adults and children who
experience developmental disabilities and/or serious mental illnesses and who require
substantial supports to live, work and play in our community. Through a combination of
skills building, coaching and resource coordination, we support individuals in a broad
array of living arrangements and help them achieve their individual goals. We provide
the following services: service planning, skills training, employment services, home
supports, service coordination and crisis assistance. Assets staff members are available
seven days a week and provide 24-hour direct crisis response to assist in emergencies.
Another goal of the Community Services department is to help people with disabilities
find and retain rewarding employment within the community. We match applicants with
positions suited to their individual skills, preferences and personalities and offer
ongoing training and support to ensure success. These are a sample of some of the
leaders who make a difference in the Anchorage and Eagle River communities by employing
people with disabilities: Simon & Seafort's, Carrs-Safeway, Party Craft, Pepsi Cola
Bottling, True Value Hardware, etc.

Currently the Community Services Department has four teams: Bronze, Cobalt, Diamond and
Platinum. Each team is headed by two Team Coordinators.
